The Workshop video
It’s been a while since I wanted to do a workshop. But I didn’t want to make one, just to make one. I wanted to teach something concrete, applicable immediately, and also quickly profitable for the participants.
I’m in touch with several photographers everyday and I have seen some frustration for some.
As if, sometimes, a picture was not enough. Like a desire to give more. So sometimes, on a blog post the photographer adds music, then makes a slideshow, and even integrates gifs.
And when I tell them “do some video on your couples sessions!”
The same answers come back, “too long”, “too complicated”, “I don’t know how to do”.
That’s the why of this workshop: a theoretical part / a practical part with a couple
And at the end of this day, they had all the necessary bases to realize a short film of 2 minutes, ina good quality, and most of all, consistent with the identity of the photographer (same post-processing for photos and video)
And also, a new way to communicate differently on social networks.
I realized that between knowing how to do, and teaching it, it was not so easy.
I gave myself 1000% for this workshop to be clear, concise, and easy to implement once alone.
The theoretical part contained the elements of a cinematographic image.
The practical part consisted of a 30 minutes shooting with a real couple, in groups of 2, coached by Beatrice, while I tackled the editing with the rest of the group.
Through her various experiences with couples, she was able to explain and transmit her tricks in order to facilitate the shooting.
To see the result of her photos and her video, see HERE.
Regarding the scenography, Nessa carried out a crazy work. I told her about 2 cocooning moods, a sofa and a bed. And she reproduced the inside of an apartment in her studio. Yes, life-size! I would have loved to live there. Just amazing!!
(Thank you Mathieu for the huge help!)
There will be a second edition of this workshop. I’ll spare the blabla of “I learned a lot about myself, and the attendees gave me so much…” But yes, this experience was just great.
To invest in a project, to collaborate with such talented friends for a result that exceeds all my hopes, it has no price.
